Thanks so much to all families who participated in the PTA spring raffle! All prizes were drawn for and handed out at the game night. PTA is in the process of counting all ticket sales and creating an expense report. We will share it with the Ivy community as soon as we have it done! Thanks so much for your support and help! We are excited to improve school facilities and classrooms with all funds raised from the raffle!!
Yearbook Deadline Extended to May 1st
As this is the first year Ivy has used the TreeRing website to build our yearbook, the Yearbook Team wants to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to purchase a yearbook, and also has time to format their two personalized pages (The two free custom pages are optional; if you don’t customize you’ll receive the standard yearbook without those pages included). So, we have EXTENDED the deadline to MAY 1st for both the purchase and custom layout for personalized pages.
The TreeRing site (www.treering.com
) has lots of online help if you’re having difficulty purchasing or customizing, and they’re very responsive in answering questions
. If you can’t find the information you need, or if you need the TreeRing passcode for the Ivy School in order to purchase your yearbook, email the Yearbook Team
. We’re happy to help!
Middle School Social
The Middle School Social listed on the Ivy Calendar is postponed until further notice. This event is student led and with some exciting new possibilities for a shared event and fundraiser, the planning team has decided to postpone for a date in mid-May. Please contact Amy Stuhr if you have questions.
The Outdoor Program at Morris Campus is launching their Bee Keepers Program – Students from left; Elizabeth, Mickey, and Harry, next to our Ivy School Bee Hive.
Parent Satisfaction Survey!
The Oregon Department of Education, in partnership with Education for the Future (EFF), has announced the release the 2015 Parent survey for Oregon State Sponsored Charter Schools. This annual survey has become a valuable source of information for schools, parents, and key stakeholders. The information gathered through questionnaires will be compiled in school-specific reports that can be used to help inform improvement plans and professional practices. The surveys will be available until May 22nd. Please take the parent survey here
Board Meeting Tonight
Monday, April 27, 6:00pm, Prescott Campus
In addition to our regular business, the Ivy Board of Directors will be reviewing the applications received for the Executive Director position at our meeting this evening. The full agenda
is posted on The Ivy School’s website the week before each meeting. All board meetings are open to the public and are held at the Prescott campus.
A big thank you to Ivy School Tech Guru, Nick Fenger and Parent Stephen Bachara for setting up the Chromebook computers and charging carts. Now that they are up and running, testing at The Ivy School has begun in earnest. Most students have completed the math portion of the test and have begun the language arts portion. Morris students report that the Chromebooks work more reliably than the old computers and they are excited to use them for other applications once testing is finished.
